How we managed in the Covid crisis
"Whilst the students did miss face-to-face teaching, all students praised the School’s ability at managing the new format. Students explained how support was in place thorughout. The students commented on how they always feel supported and that they have a voice. Students are made to feel welcome to express their opinions and feel that their viewpoint is always taken seriously "
SoH Liason Officer visit report 2021
The South Downs School of Homoeopathy is a well established college, with students from all over Southern and South-East England and is based in central Chichester, West Sussex. It was founded in 1997, and is now one of the leading homeopathy training colleges in the UK. Our building is situated in beautiful grounds, and the new classrooms are bright and comfortable and have disabled access. There is plenty of on-site parking.
Chichester is approximately 1hr 35mins from London Victoria (direct route). Chichester train station is a 20 minute walk from the Chichester campus.

The School is run by two Principals:
Christian Taylor and Tracy White
"Both of us are passionately committed to producing confident and capable working homeopaths. We believe that a good, solid understanding of the principles and mechanics of homeopathy will support a homeopath's working life and development. We feel that everyone should gain the maximum enjoyment possible, in an informal atmosphere of warmth and friendship. And, in the same way that each homeopathic prescription is patient-centred, we pride ourselves on a training that is person-centred, with every student encouraged to find their own way of studying and gaining practical skills".
SDSH is very pleased to announce the arrival of our new Co Principal, Tracy White
"I am delighted to be offered the post of Co-Principal, it’s an incredible opportunity to be a part of the future of a growing college.
I trained at SDSH and following graduation I have concentrated on building a very busy homeopathic practice online. I have found running an online practice has created amazing opportunities to tap into a patient base that spreads far and wide, I now have clients all over the world and many thousands of hours of practice under my belt.
Alongside my practice I running training workshops and have been lecturing at South Downs for the last few years. Whilst I love working online and can see great potential for the expansion of education in that arena, working with students at South Downs was a fresh challenge which I really enjoyed. Being able to combine lecturing with my online skills offers a future for the college, which I think, is exciting. I’m passionate about the next generation of homeopaths and feel it’s a privilege to be part of that journey.
I have many happy memories of my time studying and I believe my experience as a student as well as a lecturer will add to the skills I bring to South Downs. I am passionate about sending out confident homeopaths into the world who know that they can be successful.
The college has grown and flourished over the years and to be a part of its story is something I am hugely enthusiastic about."
Goodbye to Saira Keevill-Thomas
And of course we would like to say a very fond farewell to Saira who is leaving after 5 years of extremely hard work and dedication in her role as Co Principal. We wish you all the best in the future
"I’m leaving South Downs 23 years after I started here as a student. 12 years a lecturer and 5 years a co-principal, its been quite a journey! There have been many memorable moments but the best part was always being part of a students journey and part of their graduation. It’s an honour to walk that path alongside our students and I loved seeing them succeed at that final marking of their achievement."
"I want to be a homeopath and I am already planning for that day with buying stock remedies, clinic furniture etc, therefore I am willing to put a lot of effort into the course. To be honest, it is easy to do so. I am with a particularly nice bunch of people in my year 2 group and I always look forward to the weekends we share together. Whatever has happened in the month leading up to the College weekends, I am always energised by it. I am absolutely knackered by Sunday night but without exception every weekend has been a pleasure!"
